"Non-force technique has
improved my condition greatly"
Following a very painful injury to my neck in
June, I was first referred to a different Chiropractic group that practiced
the old “crack the neck and back” technique. After
one month of this treatment I was in constant pain, my symptoms were
increasing and the prognosis was eventual permanent disability.
A friend referred me to the Meyerowitz-Rook Chiropractic Group when she saw how distressed I was with my treatment. Following the very first treatment with Dr. Rook, I could not believe first of all that it was gentle, and then pain free. Over the last two months this non-force technique has improved my condition greatly and I have been able to function at work without taking any time off. I highly recommend this type of Chiropractic treatment for anyone, especially one with a very painful injury.
"My headaches are gone and
my body feels much better."
I had daily headaches, neckpain, back pain and
dizziness when I stood up. My energy level was low.
Dr. Brown started treatement and after six weeks
my headaches are gone and my body feels much better.
"Dr. Rook has been so encouraging
and supportive."
I have had long-standing neck and back problems with accompanying
depression and “hopelessness”. At the end of last year,
I was going through a particularly difficult time with pain and despair
but through counseling I had decided to change my situation.
I shared these feelings with Dr. Rook and, after talking at length, we decide on a “game plan” that, along with regular chiropractic care, included my commitment to an exercise program at ta local fitness facility and continued co-counseling.
At this critical and confused point in my life,
Dr. Rook was able to help me focus on a direction. I had been used
to doctors who half-listened to my problems and then offered little personalized
attention or follow-up. Not only did Dr. Rook listen carefully,
but he “tuned in” so directly to my fears and concerns…and
seemed to understand fully the scope of my problems and what idrection
would be prudent to take.
While the regular adjustments have helped me
tremendously in keeping my pain manageable and alleviating much of it
I also feel fortunate to have Dr. Rook as my “port in the storm”. During
the ups and down’s of these las 6-8 months, Dr. Rook has been so
encouraging and supportive. At times when I’d be feeling “helpless” and
not in control, he would offer suggestions and encouragementalways
sensitive and appropriate to the situation---and never patronizing.
I had been looking at all my failures in “solving” my physical
problems but Dr. Rook has reminded me many times that this challenge
in my life is a process…which has given me a better over-all perspectiveand allows me to have my “bad days” without feeling that my total effort is for not.
I feel that Dr. Rook provides an environment
in which he and I work together in dealing with my situation. I
have input and we change or modify my program according to my needs and
abilities…and, I am improving!
